Surfers, Skaters, Snack Maker Come Together
     to Honor Kids at W.I.N. Awards
 

Dana Point CA Dec 3 2008 - A coalition of educators, corporate sponsors and action sports heroes honored students at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point Wednesday night who had winning entries in this year's 'Water Innovation Now' contest for O.C. Schools.

Famed surfer Rob Machado and skater Danny Way successfully convinced a half-million Orange County schoolchildren that it's cool to care about California's water crisis. The two athletes were part of a team of educators, corporate sponsors and figures from the action sports industry who invited students to "Imagine Life Without Water. The Water Innovation Now (WIN) contest honors students from kindergarten through twelfth grade who created presentations via PowerPoint, video, or poster board that demonstrated innovative solutions to the water crisis.

New Food Show, New Hosts and a New Tortilla Chip on a Mission

Food Network aired a "sneak peek" of their new show starring Gina and Pat Neely Sunday night. The show, "Road Tasted With the Neelys California Sun-Sational” featured four Southern California food entrepreneurs, Carlsbad Gourmet, Chuao Chocolatier , Sweet Cheeks Baking Company, and Whale Tails Tortilla Chips. The show will now be a weekly series featuring handcrafted food from across the country that can be ordered online and shipped to consumers.

Pat and Gina Neely are the first husband-and-wife team to host a Food Network show. Their original series prior to hosting “Road Tasted” was "Down Home With the Neelys" which debuted as the networks all-time No. 1 daytime show. It averaged more than 2.5 million viewers. The Neelys are now hosting 'Road Tasted” a show which travels the country looking for specialty stores and family-run businesses.

Whale of a Party for Global Conservation
Hollywood Event takes on a New Shape for Global Conservation

Tonight a private residence in Bel Air was transformed into a “gathering” for concerned environmentalists invited to raise awareness and funds for global conservation. The focus of this party was Leonardo Di Caprios 11th hour Action Campaign and Dr Wallace J Nicholas group Ocean Revolution. This is the fourth in a series of “Family Affair” parties that are organized to inspire guests into taking action in their own lives to make a difference. These parties are invitation only and mine read “Family Affair - Changing the World One Party at a Time”. Tree Media Group joined forces at tonight's event with the group Family-Affair.org to not only inspire but raise funds for DiCaprio's 11th Hour Action Campaign college tour which educates the youth of America in helping to sustain our planet.
